Call of duty Black Ops 7 is coming hot

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is an upcoming first-person shooter developed collaboratively by Treyarch and Raven Software, and published by Activision. Marking the twenty-second entry in the Call of Duty franchise, it also serves as the eighth core installment in the Black Ops saga, following Black Ops 6 (2024). Set in the year 2035, the narrative—playable solo or in cooperative mode—centers around a team of operatives led by David Mason, picking up events after Black Ops II (2012).

As expected from the franchise, the game will feature a robust multiplayer experience, along with the fan-favorite round-based Zombies mode for cooperative play.

Development of Black Ops 7 ran parallel to Black Ops 6, with both projects receiving approval simultaneously. Promotional efforts kicked off in June 2025, beginning with a cinematic teaser unveiled during the 2025 Xbox Games Showcase. A full reveal followed on August 19 at Gamescom.

Black Ops 7 is slated for release on November 14, 2025, and will be available across PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S platforms.

Gameplay :

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7—like its predecessor, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 (2024)—is a first-person shooter. Depending on the selected game mode, players will utilize near-future military gear, including advanced weapons, field upgrades, and scorestreaks, to battle AI enemies, other players, or waves of undead.

Players can move freely across maps in any direction and perform wall jumps off designated surfaces. A notable change from Black Ops 6 is the removal of the "Tactical Sprint" from core movement—it’s now available only as an optional perk, offering a temporary burst of speed beyond the standard sprint.

Black Ops 7 includes three main gameplay modes: a single-player/co-op campaign, competitive multiplayer, and the cooperative round-based Zombies mode. The campaign, playable with up to four players, follows a JSOC unit led by David "Section" Mason. It spans 11 missions, and completing them unlocks the "Endgame" activity—a high-stakes challenge for up to 32 players set in the city of Avalon, where teams must complete timed objectives. Players can enter Endgame with custom loadouts, but death results in losing access to their gear.

For the first time in the series, campaign progression is shared across multiplayer and Zombies, allowing players to earn XP, level up weapons, and advance their global rank and seasonal battle pass no matter which mode they play.

Multiplayer typically pits two teams of six (6v6) against each other across 16 maps, while the objective-driven "Skirmish" mode supports 20v20 battles on two exclusive maps. Players can customize up to 30 weapons, and upon reaching a weapon’s max level, they can Prestige it—unlocking cosmetic rewards like camos and charms, while resetting all attachments.

A new addition to multiplayer is the "Overclock" upgrade system, which enhances a player's lethal and tactical gear, scorestreaks, and field upgrades with extra abilities.

In Zombies, one to four players face endless waves of undead across a sprawling map navigable via the "Wonder Vehicle". The mode also features compact Survival Maps and a revamped version of the top-down Dead Ops Arcade.

Campaign

Set in 2035, ten years after the events of Call of Duty: Black Ops II (2012), the campaign follows JSOC Commander David "Section" Mason (Milo Ventimiglia) and his elite unit, Specter One, as they investigate the apparent return of Raul Menendez—a Nicaraguan terrorist long believed to be dead—who threatens to plunge the world into chaos within three days.

Specter One includes operatives Mike Harper (Michael Rooker), Eric Samuels (John Eric Bentley), and Leilani "50/50" Tupuola (Frankie Adams). Overseeing JSOC’s Tier 1 operations is Colonel Troy Marshall (Y'lan Noel), who coordinates the mission from command.

Also involved in the investigation is The Guild, a former criminal syndicate turned tech corporation, now led by CEO Emma Kagan (Kiernan Shipka), whose involvement adds a layer of corporate intrigue to the unfolding crisis.

Zombies :

Following the events of Black Ops 6, the Requiem team—Grigori Weaver, Elizabeth Grey, Mackenzie Carver, and Maya Aguinaldo—find themselves transported to the mysterious Dark Aether dimension. There, they come face-to-face with alternate versions of legendary operatives Edward Richtofen, "Tank" Dempsey, Nikolai Belinski, and Takeo Masaki.

United by a common enemy, both squads forge an alliance to confront a powerful new threat emerging from the depths of the Dark Aether. Their combined strength sets the stage for one of the most ambitious Zombies narratives in the franchise’s history.

Development

Black Ops 7 is being co-developed by Treyarch and Raven Software, with production running in parallel to Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 (2024). Both titles were approved simultaneously, allowing the studios to build a more cohesive narrative and gameplay experience across the two entries. Lead narrative producer Natalie Pohorski noted that this dual-development strategy enabled the teams to expand directly on the foundation laid by Black Ops 6.

Early information about the game began circulating in late 2023, when reports suggested that the 2025 installment would serve as a continuation of Black Ops II, exploring the aftermath of the death of its central antagonist, Raul Menendez. Additional details—including the 2035 setting, cooperative campaign, and Zombies mode—surfaced in April 2025, reportedly leaked by a participant in a closed-door study group test session.

Marketing

Activision and Microsoft debuted a cinematic trailer for Black Ops 7 during the 2025 Xbox Games Showcase on June 8, officially revealing the game's title and story premise. That same day, Variety released casting details, confirming Milo Ventimiglia and Kiernan Shipka as David Mason and Emma Kagan, respectively, along with Michael Rooker reprising his role as Mike Harper from Black Ops II.

Later in June, a teaser was uploaded to the "Cordis Die" YouTube channel, which had previously been used to promote Black Ops II in 2012. In August, Activision rolled out several live-action teaser trailers spotlighting The Guild, accompanied by a viral website for the fictional company. Sponsored articles about The Guild also appeared in outlets like Forbes and Wired.

The full reveal of Black Ops 7 took place on August 19 at Gamescom, where developers from Treyarch and Raven shared in-depth insights into the campaign and narrative. A 17-minute "Direct" presentation was released alongside the event, offering additional details on multiplayer and Zombies modes.

A dedicated reveal for Zombies is scheduled for early September, while an extended showcase of the multiplayer experience will be featured during the 2025 Call of Duty: Next event on September 30.

On August 26, Activision announced it would not carry forward select content from Black Ops 6—including weapons and character skins—into Black Ops 7. This decision was made in response to community feedback, which expressed concern that Black Ops 6's crossover skins, featuring franchises like Squid Game, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Beavis and Butt-Head, had deviated from the visual tone traditionally associated with the Black Ops series.

Release

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is set to launch on November 14, 2025, across multiple platforms, including PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. The game will be available on day one to subscribers of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass, offering immediate access to the full experience.

Additionally, the title will be supported on select cloud gaming platforms, such as GeForce Now and Xbox Cloud Gaming, expanding its reach to players beyond traditional consoles and PCs.

Players who pre-order the game or maintain an active Xbox Game Pass subscription will gain early access to the multiplayer open beta, scheduled to run from October 2 to October 8, giving fans a chance to experience the competitive gameplay ahead of launch.
